Brenda Dean, BPT

Brenda has had more than 30 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a variety of clinical and administration roles. Her last employment was in the School of Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan, where in her roles as Clinical Assistant Professor and Administrative Coordinator, she provided teaching support, committee leadership, coordination of program evaluation and accreditation processes, as well as leading the planning and commissioning of the new space for the School in the Health Sciences building in 2016.

Other administration roles include Manager of Physical Therapy at Saskatoon City Hospital (SCH), where she was integral in the planning and development of new space and programs. Combined with management, she was also Senior of Orthopedics in a part time clinical role during most of the nine years at SCH.

Clinical positions have also included 7 years at Bourassa and Associates Rehab Centre as Manager of Functional Conditioning, working mainly with injured workers, performing functional assessments, work site and ergonomic evaluations. Prior to moving back to Saskatoon, she worked eight years in Community Therapy in two different rural Saskatchewan communities, with a caseload in clinics, homes and facilities, and developed and delivered prevention teaching modules for healthcare workers.

She has had significant experience advocating for and assisting her own family members complicated healthcare situations. Combined with her varied roles and experience as a physical therapist, her transition to a member of the OverC Health team has been a natural one.
